Re: Looking for my Second EV

Typical of dealer misinformation, but the owners manual makes it pretty clear. I bought a CPO just so there was no question about it!

Re: Looking for my Second EV

Everything I have read says that the EV system (which includes the battery and OBC) is covered for 10 years/100,000 miles to any owner. The powertrain warranty is only good for 5 years to the second owner and on. That would be axles, trans-axle, bearings, etc.

Re: Looking for my Second EV

A couple things to consider: Is there a Kia dealer near you that is certified to work on EV's? As you know, there isn't a lot of maintenance with an EV, but if your OBC goes bad (which does seem to be common with these) you'll need to get it to a dealer who can deal with it. The other thing to consi...

Re: Looking for my Second EV

I had a 2013 Leaf for a couple years, and I loved it...except for the styling. It probably comes down to how you feel about the Leaf vs. a Soul, but the difference is not great EXCEPT the warranty. The 10 year, 100,000 mile warranty on the traction battery was the deciding factor for me, after the s...

Re: Soul Spy?

Of course, you are right. I shouldn't just make a blanket statement like that. It does work well enough for the most part, and it is cheap and small! I'm at work and typing on my phone, so I just was keeping it short.
I will get those files to you in the near future!

Re: Thinking of getting a higher mileage 2016

It looks like performance tires would probably reduce the range by about 10% according to this article on a Chevy Bolt. I assume it wouldn't be quite so bad if they were more typical all season tires.

I thought it was staying connected while charging, but even when I turned the car on while plugged in it refused to hook up and still showed the SOC at 39% even though it was near 80%. I was having trouble with it constantly trying to reconnect even thought I had terminated the program. I finally tu...
