Re: Dash rattle

I appreciate the help, but the part I'm looking for sits over the gauges; the speedometer and GOM. It's a padded piece that is perched over it.

Dash rattle

I've been chasing down a rattle in my dash, and I think I have it narrowed down to the "eyebrow" pad over the instruments. If I hold pressure up on it, the high pitched rattle goes away. Does anyone know if that pad is just held on with clips? That's how it looks to me, since it's obviousl...

Re: Not charging, clicking then off

Sounds like your OBC has failed. It's pretty common, but should be covered under warranty.

Re: Thinking of getting a higher mileage 2016

I would take it on a reasonably long drive from 100% charge and try to get it down to at least 20% before you recharge. Log the mileage you travel against what the GOM says, and it you can measure how many kWh it takes to charge back to full.

Re: Thinking of getting a higher mileage 2016

20km per day is pretty similar to what my commune is, about 15 miles. Even in cold weather it should be good for a couple days commute, so if that works for you, it could be a bargain commuter for many years. Just don't take a lot of side trips on the way home!

Re: Thinking of getting a higher mileage 2016

I am hardly an expert in these matters, but here's my take: The degradation seems pretty acceptable considering the mileage, but you are looking at some significant degradation. Is it really cheap? Because it is going to need a new battery pack at some point and you'll be paying for it, not Kia. No ...

Re: Charging Fault error.

I'm glad to hear Kia of Puyallup got the job done in a reasonable amount of time. I'm sure I'll be there at some point. I wonder if they'll give me a loaner since I didn't buy the car there?

Re: Charging Fault error.

So the question as I see it; is this the common problem with the OBC failures with our cars and has Kia updated the replacement parts to avoid this problem in the future?

Re: Charging Fault error.

I'll have to keep an eye on this, since Kia of Puyallup is the closest dealer for me, also. I bought my 2016 from Lee Johnson a couple months ago, but going there for service from Tacoma would be a hassle. The sales manager at Lee Johnson suggested going to Puyallup for service, I hope they know wha...

Re: Kia e-Soul availability in Canada?

That sounds pretty reasonable compared to what I'm sure they'll be marking them up to here in the US.
