Re: DC Charging not Working

Personal opinion, but this issue isn't a mistake on your behalf but rather a genuine issue with the DC charger functionality in your car. This isn't something you've been doing wrong or can do something to fix. You need to take it into the dealership, hopefully you're still in warranty.

All the best!

Re: 2016 Map Update from mapnsoft.com

No, no I do not. I've been trying to snag an update myself and another forum I came across it was laid out pretty clear the differences in the systems and the updates between them. It won't work, and you risk bricking the system itself which if you're lucky will reset - if not, the only fix is to bu...

Re: 2018-19 Service Manual?

I have a copy for a 2016 - had to pay for it though.
Not sure if sharing it online would be a problem?

Re: 12V Battery Replacement ?

That guy! Haha, a couple weeks ago I found his channel after looking up Seafoam and instantly subscribed. I'm surprised I hadn't watched this one before. It was interesting to say the least, but I'm a little curious if he used some of those boosters correctly? Mine for example has a boost mode where...

Re: 12V Battery Replacement ?

I do have a booster in the garage for those "just in case" moments (that I was hoping I would never need again! LOL). Not too useful in the garage though when you're not there ;) What I was referring to is one of those small portable ones you charge up then throw in the glovebox or under ...

Re: 12V Battery Replacement ?

Well actually when you dig into the data sheet it states that it'll discharge at upto -20C but charging isn't happening until 0C - which makes sense and is expected for lithium batteries. Again, if your current battery is functioning fine - what's the point of swapping it out for this battery? The c...

Re: 12V Battery Replacement ?

I'd imagine the biggest factor to consider when replacing your 12V battery is the conditions it will be subjected to. Far as I know, the traditional batteries are more cold resistant vs lithium. So while I'd love to replace mine with a lithium battery, the fact that my car is parked outside all the ...

Re: KIA Soul EV Heater not working

On the topic of LEAF vs Soul in regards to battery degradation: while not as good as liquid cooling - I take more comfort in the Soul with its active air cooling vs the LEAFs passive cooling approach. However, it is surprising how many batteries need to be replaced in the Soul prior to the warranty ...

But it does describe the situation, so I'm not sure why being factual is controversial.

Re: 2016 EV+ Battery Replacement Story

Hey, any news from you? For the second time now ~~ The issue is that they keep resetting the BMS trying to update whatever software, and then they claim that the SOH is 100%. Sounds like a call to Kia Corporate is required because the dealership is either clueless or malicious.. Either way, I'm hop...
