Re: Picture : The E-Soul trunk capacity

That’s great! I wish I found a picture like that when we were considering ours. Here is how a 40kg black lab fits as well in case anyone’s wondering. I know he doesn’t look amused but there’s enough room for him to turn around and lie down nicely. With the floor lowered its a good height, he likes t...

Re: level 2 charging cables/charging rate

Its 20A 240V single phase, even though it has two hot legs @120V combining to make 240V it is still considered single phase as the AC waves pulse in unison with each other. The charging cable I got will work on 120V though and came with a plug adapter for such.

Re: level 2 charging cables/charging rate

Update: So I finally got around to installing a new 20A circuit for the new cheapo 16A 240V in-line charge adapter (about $200 on Amazon) we’ve been using it for about a week now and I can’t imaging needing anything more. It can charge from 30% to 90% easily overnight (12hrs) Definitely the way to g...

Re: Just picked up Soul EV 2020 Limited in Vancouver

And don’t forget the lack of roof rails that all other territories seem to have. (Even in the manual it’s shown as having rails) regardless, we love ours so far. Just picked up 2 weeks ago from West Coast Kia in Pitt Meadows.

Re: level 2 charging cables/charging rate

Thanks all, some good info there. I still think 20A will be more than sufficient for our needs however, here's my rationale: Stated range for Soul Limited is 385km (lets say 400 as all the first hand reports i've seen say 490km summer range is perfectly doable) Level one charging time from 0-100% is...

level 2 charging cables/charging rate

Finally picking up our new Soul in two weeks but haven't gotten around to setting up a charging station yet and was just going to wing it with level 1 charging for now and see how that goes as it should keep up with our daily consumption. However after watching one of Byorn Nyland's newer videos on ...

Re: Where to get all season Floor Mats?

You might be able to order them from a dealer in another country, seems like they all have the official Kia accessories except for Canada, this is from Kia Ireland: https://www.kia.com/api/bin/docDownload?program=brochure&locale=ie&path=%2Fcontent%2Fdam%2Fkwcms%2Fkme%2Fie%2Fen%2Fassets%2Fcon...

Re: Roof rack revisited

Yeah, I'm a little apprehensive of the door mount pull down style towers after using "professionally" installed Yakima Q towers on a Jetta which chipped the paint off right to the metal on all 4 doors. I talked to the dealer yesterday who confirmed no fixed point rack mounting points like ...

Roof rack revisited

So I was turned off the 1st gen E-Soul due to a lack of roof rack compatibility but I had heard that was to be remedied with the 2020 and early pics I saw confirmed that it would have roof rails like this one from the 2019 Canadian International Auto Show: https://i.imgur.com/ht0orcc.png I just put ...
