Re: 2017 EV+ need battery replacement, not sure where to start.

Just go to your service department and if they are any good they should take care of testing your battery and getting the warranty process started. The EV warranty is covered for all owners and the extended warranty paperwork won't matter as long as you're under 10 years 100,000 miles. If you want s...

Re: seat covers? seat cleaning?

I ended up just buying some generic ones at Costco. They work well enough and only cost me $20 on sale. I think the main reason that the vehicle specific ones all say not for the EV is because it might interfere with the heating/cooling. I only have heated cloth and it's too hot for me, so I wouldn'...

Alternatively you can contact a dealership parts department and ask them to look it up by the VIN. The replacement battery and BMS are different parts with and w/o heater.

Re: What to watch out for? (Besides Battery Health)

This is exciting news. I think you've gotten an excellent deal esp. considering you've still got 3 years of warranty on the entire drive-train, and a new battery. :) Please post updates in the future after you've used the car for awhile so we can learn how it goes for you. Remember, speed is the en...

Re: New software update installation (video)

My friend shared the previously downloaded firmware. I checked it out. I updated multimedia in my car. Everything turned out well. As a result of the update, my previous version of ST.PSEV.USA.E483.151002 was replaced with a new one: ST.PSEV.USA.E512.161024 For a while I will post an archive with t...

Re: recommended obd2 adapter?

Information from the ELM327 Identifier says it should be good i.e. it supports the 1.x protocols and not the 2.x protocols. The problem then comes of if it can pass enough data through without dropping bits of it, mine will work with Soul Spy and Torque but not if I try to connect to the bus and du...

Re: Buying a 2016 needing a new battery

I was at a local dealership (Colorado Springs, CO) to test drive a Soul EV while I wait for the one I'm buying to get it's battery replaced. It was a pretty cold day at around 12F. The GoM had an estimated range of 65 miles with a full charge. With the heater on it dropped to 55. I think there's too...

Re: What to watch out for? (Besides Battery Health)

- If the winter temperatures where you live are below -26C then I would avoid this car. Weather is a very important aspect for all the electric cars. Before I used to live in Canada and I made a big mistake by buying a Prius. I could barely use the car and it stayed in the garage most of the time. ...

Re: recommended obd2 adapter?

It's going to be a guess. I have one the same shape with a different label that does work. Best thing to do is just try it. That's about what I figured. I was just hoping with the info from ELM327 Identifier that someone could tell me if they thought it would be a definite no-go. I don't want to sp...
