Cheaper perhaps, but not nearly as good for the environment, so therefore of little interest to me.

Re: Any consumer implementations of vehicle-to-grid with the Kia Soul EV?

Who would want to kill off an already crap battery design by storing / using energy for your house constantly ? There are far cheaper battery options for power walls out there. I wouldn't want it constantly, I'd want it in "storm watch" applications in case the power goes out. Yes, if I h...

Re: 2020 Kia e-Soul Battery and Performance details

Neither Kia Canada's website, nor Wikipedia, appears to indicate the Ah rating of the 2020 Kia Soul EV's battery. The 2019 and earlier models were 42.36 Ah. Can anyone confirm what the 2020's is?

Re: level 2 charging cables/charging rate

...Sooo, basically my question is will the Soul play nicely if I give it a 240V 16A charge? The answer to this is yes. But I also agree with the others that you should get the 40A.[...] All other things being equal, if you've got the time (such as when leaving it on charge overnight), aren't you be...

Any consumer implementations of vehicle-to-grid with the Kia Soul EV?

I read about a vehicle-to-grid pilot project that used Kia Soul EVs. Was there ever a consumer implementation of that in North America? I'd accept a homemade option. Why buy a Powerwall when you can use your car for that purpose instead? :)

Not mentioned in my original post, but I also understand that these need to not be GFCI outlets.

Anyone tried an EVdoubler-style product?

Anyone tried an EVdoubler-style product on the Kia Soul EV? These are designed for us poor pleebs in North America who have only 120v outlets. These typically give you two plugs, that you insert into two 15A outlets, to give you a new 20-30A outlet. I found one on eBay that merges two 5-15 lines int...

Re: What SOH I have ?

KW902 is the one you want. I ordered one off of eBay. Looking forward to messing around with it. :) I'm particularly interested to see how quickly/slowly the cells come out of balance. Since by charging to 80% every time, we're not cell balancing (unless the BMS is designed to do that when set to 8...

Konnwei makes a tonne of models (KW910, KW912, etc.). Are they all suitable, or are some recommended over others?

Re: Has anyone replaced their 12V battery with lithium?

Same brand ? That's interesting. The one in there now is from Hyundai's battery division. Might be hard to come by! But anyway, it shouldn't be detected as abnormal because it supplies the same power profile. In fact it's better than the included vehicle battery in pretty much every category (but y...
