Re: Heat pump stopped working, no apparent cause

I do recall hearing a noise like that when I first got the car. Then I took it in for a recall and they updated the BMS. I haven't heard the noise since.

Re: Creaking/Crunching Over Dips in Cold Weather

Hello, I'm also own a 2016 model (36,000km), and I've noticed similar noises. I suspect the suspensions too. I'm from north of France, and the temperatures here are now below 10°C (50°F). And since yesterday, I also hear a "rubbing"noise from the front left, when I strongly turn the wheel...

Re: Heat pump stopped working, no apparent cause

Thank you for the explanation. I only paid about $14k US for mine so I have low expectations. I suspect my heat pump is not working and I have not noticed any compressor sounds. I will try feeling the refrigerant line when the heat is on. I have a warranty for perhaps 13 or 14 more months.

Re: Heat pump stopped working, no apparent cause

Sorry noob here, but how would I know if my heat pump were working? I have a 2016 + so it should have a heat pump.

Re: Level 1 charging - climate precondition??

One thing I'm also noticing is that if the car preconditions and if I don't drive the car after the preconditioning is done (say I'm running late), the car won't resume charging to replenish the battery. So when I pull away perhaps an hour later, I'm down 3% on charge. Why is this? I wonder if on Le...

Creaking/Crunching Over Dips in Cold Weather

At temperatures under about 50ºF, I notice a lot of crunching sounds that seems like it's either coming from the brakes, chassis or suspension. At first I thought it was brakes but I'm not sure, and the noises don't always seem to be coming from the front. Sometimes it feels like it's coming from so...

Re: Inaccurate energy consumption calcs on trip computer???

So if I want to calculate my energy consumption most accurately, what is the most accurate way to do it? It just seems like in general, the instrument cluster is overestimating. I would in theory like to multiply that figure (mi/kWh) by the battery capacity (27kWh) to get an accurate figure on my ra...

Inaccurate energy consumption calcs on trip computer???

I have a 2016 Kia Soul EV+. I like to reset the "energy consumption" computer daily on the instrument cluster. However, it seems like it is really inaccurate. I have it set to "manual reset". As far as I know, the car has a 27kWh battery. Today, I started at 100%. I reset the ene...

Re: Brakes seized on new Soul EV after 10 months

Any idea if there is a way to test the 12V battery via OBDII scanner? I have a Bluetooth one. I don't know if it's really useful to load test since there is nothing to "crank" like with a gas car.
