Re: Analysis of a replacement battery.

...What are you using to get SOH? Would it work with a 2018 model?... I have a 27kWh Soul EV with a replacement battery. It has 96 updated cells, and an updated version of the BMS. The new usable capacity seems to be 30kWh. On both the original battery and the replacement, the BMS has PIDs which sh...

Re: TMS Behavior

- This table of battery fan data was written for the 27kWh Soul EV with the original BMS. I now have a replacement battery with updated cells, and an updated version of the BMS. In my testing so far the battery fan data is identical with before. Can someone with a 30kWh Soul EV who lives in a hot su...

Re: anyone know waterpump on/off relay location if exist ?

- I found no reference to a EWP relay in the manual. The 10A fuse is here in the PCB Block. https://abload.de/img/fuse7dj6u.png - Also because you have been getting so many weird reading from Torque about the EWP. Here is an image from my car. Driving today with air-con on. 32C outside. Nothing seem...

Re: 2016 Soul EV+ Battery Replacement - Remanufactured?

- Here in Jeju a friend of mine went in for his replacement battery last week. He only had a 1 week wait between getting an official SOH of 64% and taking the car in for the new battery. There is still a pile of crates with Soul EV batteries outside the service centre. It took them 2 hours to do the...

Re: Analysis of a replacement battery.

-
Another test of the replacement battery.

I drove 90km today using 40% of the battery.
It was 32C and I had the air-con on the whole time.
Drove mostly at 80km/h. The energy consumption was 7.5km / kWh.

These figures suggest I can get 225km from a 30kWh battery.

Re: MY2020 Soul EV. 64kWh.

- Here's yet another review on YouTube. I do not recommend this one. His attempt to give a neutral opinion on the car seems totally fake. This guy owns a new T esla M odel 3. He rejected buying a N iro EV because it was not good value for money, even though he really liked the car. He has some inter...

Re: Battery Ageing Model

...The I oniq Electric battery of the 28 kWh has more Cobalt percentage, that is why these do not degrade as much. The 38 kWh model has a different chemistry, with less cobalt.. The website PushEVs suggests that the 28 kWh I oniq Electric battery uses an NMC 523 chemistry. See :- PushEVs - May 2018...

Re: Battery Ageing Model

- The rate of battery failures for our cars is quite high - much higher than I expected from the data collected in this thread. In comparison the I oniq Electric battery seems to be doing well. The Soul EV battery is made by SK Innovation. The I oniq Electric battery by LG Chem. Does this mean that ...

Re: Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) firmware update

- There is now a worldwide recall for this issue. Yesterday I got a recall notice for the parking brake. I took the car in. They wanted to put a sticker on to say that the upgrade had already been done, but they had run out of stickers, so I will have to go back next week. So I confirm that this rec...

Re: DC Charging not Working

- Hetownsakia - I agree with notfred. The probable reason you can't fast charge is because your battery is really bad. I have had this issue on a Hyundai BlueON EV. Very easy to check. Just find a steep mountain road. A very degraded battery will not be able to accelerate up nor regen down. The advi...
