Nice review of the new 64kWhSoul EV by Fully Charged.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DdzeFtVOTc8

He comments correctly on the plastic interior and the chassis.
But the comments he makes about the battery are completely wrong.

Re: recommended obd2 adapter?

- I continue to recommend the the Konnwei KW902 for use with Torque Pro. This is also the best adapter to get if you are going to use the SoulEVSpy app. - Re: Soul Spy? ...The only dongle supported by the SoulEVSpy app is the Konnwei KW902. KW902 is not necessarily better than the other dongles ment...

Re: Soul Spy?

...The calculation based on average deterioration has now been proved wrong by a Kia Soul EV 2015: This car has been tested to be at 40% SOH by Kia, and having min det = 0% and max det = 64.7%, before as well as after the test by Kia... Yes. In this case the SOH as tested by Kia, is only based on t...

There's a dedicated thread about this topic here - recommended obd2 adapter?
The adapter I have and the one I continue to recommend is the Konnwei KW902.
We originally chose this one because it is the one recommended by both the LeafSpy app and the CanZE app.

Re: Setting up Torque to show BMS data

- You are both correct about calibration. The battery calibration thread is here :- Battery Calibration I always have the calibration at 392.5 +/-0.1V battery voltage, 4.08V (0xCC) cell voltage and 91.5-92.5% SOC. Calibration occurs on the final charge just before 100%. There's a recommendation on t...

Re: Thinking of getting a higher mileage 2016

- From a recent post in the SoulSpy Thread. ... Actual range is affected by many other factors besides battery capacity. Have you ruled out: - hanging brakes - New wheels or tires - AC lost (most of) it's cooling fluid - season of year (temperature, wind) - changed driving patterns: Style, route, sp...

Re: SK Innovation doubles EV battery production

- Am looking at the sales figures for the Soul EV over the last 18 months. Interesting to see that the proportion going to Norway has greatly increased. At present almost 42% of all Soul EVs ever produced are in Norway. There has been plenty of accusations made against the sales of the Kia Soul EV i...

Re: Setting up Torque to show BMS data

- I have uploaded the Torque codes to show BMS data on the new 64 kWh Soul EV. Github: OBD PIDs for the 64kWh Kia Soul EV - Years 2020 to ... I'd appreciate it if someone could test that it is working. Some codes in particular I think are wrong. 000_Battery Cell Voltage Deviation 000_Rapid Charge Po...
