Re: GuesseOMeter is WrongOMeter

... how do I determine my true miles to go? ... The GOM always guesses in a predictable fashion. If you have been driving up a steep mountain, it will assume that you will keep driving up that steep mountain. The GOM is not intelligent. You are. If you have are driving up a steep mountain, you will...

Re: New Owner, 2016 Soul EV

- Good luck with your new cars. I have already commented that the Belgian Soul EV still has a great HV battery. I would - 1/ Look to install an L2 c harger at home, work, gym, somewhere you goto often each week. It is going to be much easier long term to use an L2 rather than public fast c hargers. ...

Re: 2015 Soul EV: Out of State Battery Replacement

...I tried asking for more information on who this supplier might be or for details on the battery itself, like is it new or refurbed? How is it possible that someone other than Kia is now making a proprietary battery pack for their cars? The only thing that comes to my mind is that perhaps they ar...

Re: Setting up Torque to show BMS data

- Yes. The BMS has been reset. But in this case there is no malicious intent. It is a side effect of adding all the available ECU upgrades. The BMS will adjust back to reality in a day or two. Your HV battery is doing fine. SOH = 107%. Yes. Your 12V battery looks like it is nearly dead. I would leav...

The GOM is always a guess. There is no point trying to analyze battery stats with the GOM.
There are too many variables that effect the GOM. You know your own commute and driving style better than it does.
And there are no software updates for it.

Re: MY2020 Soul EV. 64kWh.

- The new Soul EV - called Soul EV Booster went on display here in Korea today. It has a Heads-Up-Display (HUD) just like the Hyundai K ona EV. The interior is a lighter grey than the very dark N iro EV. I much prefer the grey. But it looks like a cheaper plastic interior than our current cars. http...

Re: Battery Ageing Model

...If we're talking about the same CA here, then this isn't quite right. The average speed in HOV lane in CA during commute time is maybe 35mph, vs 15mph outside :D Weekends are another story... Thanks for pointing out my obvious mistake. If the HOV lanes were running smoothly, there would be no re...

Re: Battery Ageing Model

- Some good news from California. Most California Clean Air Decal Holders Losing Special HOV Lane Privilege There should be fewer Soul EVs being driven fast in the HOV lanes now. From many threads on this forum it seems the primary cause of battery degradation is long fast commutes. The Soul EV does...

Me too. My 12V battery just needed replacing. 4 years old, 53,000km.
See :- Going on Vacation

I too got to see some weird errors and behaviors from the almost flat 12V battery.
It's been reported many times, so it was an easy guess to assume the problem is the 12V battery.
