Re: Battery Ageing Model

... Anecdotally all the websites seem to think that once a cell fails it will cause degradation in the rest of the pack to exponentially increase. But I am not seeing this. In fact I'm seeing the opposite. Because the weather is getting warmer, the battery pack in the BlueON seems to be getting bet...

Re: Bad battery?

-
Yes. Your battery has gone bad.
You will be getting a new battery under warranty soon.
Could you post again with some more details, eg. odometer, length of commute, speed of commute ...

I suggest you phone Kia Canada and let them know the rapid drop in range you are experiencing.

Re: Problem with battery cooling fan

- As far as I know you are the first to have this problem. It does seem that the fan is faulty. Have you checked the wiring? Here is the data table for Fan Status, Fan Feedback and the temps at which they come on: It seems your car is trying to set the fan to level 2 but not getting any response. St...

Re: Recall for OBC update

- I haven't heard any one else mention a recall. There are definitely multiple versions of the OBC firmware update. I have had 3 different versions on my car. See Charging Fault error. These don't 'fix' anything they just add some extra diagnostics. The OBC update I received before they changed my O...

Re: Setting up Torque to show BMS data

...Some German users have found a way to install torque pro onto the head unit of the car. Note the warning - https://abload.de/img/warningurjue.png Maybe the warning should have been stronger. Hacking the navigation computer does risk bricking the system. A bricked system here - I oniq Forum - Set...

Re: Témoin entretien

- Témoin entretien is getting a really odd translation from google translate - "witness interview". Am guessing here that you are not asking about "witness interviews". Instead you have this warning light. http://i.imgur.com/hlX7aBph.jpg It seems to be a generic fault warning tha...

Re: Battery Ageing Model

- Thanks ZuinigeRijder. That's great data. Your car is doing really well. You have the best battery efficiency figures for any car in this thread - 17.7 kWh/100km. I am assuming that is because you drive on flat terrain - no hills in NL - , and your commute has few traffic lights / speed cameras. Tr...

Re: Thinking of getting a higher mileage 2016

- The button for the trunk door on the key fob does nothing. The flashing red bars on the instrument cluster is a glitch. It has no meaning. I would just leave it as is. The few people who did bother to get a replacement instrument cluster have a mixed response. Some say it is fixed, some say it is ...

Re: Battery Ageing Model

- I am replying to the ksoul2084 message above and also his later comment in the thread - Re: Thinking of getting a higher mileage 2016 From the comments we see that his used 2016 Soul EV+ has 140k on the odometer. In the last few weeks SoulEVSpy has reported - Min Cell Det %: 0, Max Cell Det %: 33....

Re: Upgrading high-voltage battery

- There's some interesting discussion on this topic at the N issan L eaf Forum. Someone there has actually designed a board to go between the BMS and the car's control unit in order to allow battery replacements. https://i.imgur.com/YGporKJ.jpg From Battery Upgrades are very possible
