Re: Comparing BMS data on the Soul EV with the Ray EV

- Am curious why does SOC (BMS) not increase in a straight line. why the change between 38% and 44% where it goes up faster? Does the Soul EV show this behaviour too? I saw a similar increase on the loaner Soul EV I used a year ago. That car was the dealers demo and had probably always been c harge...

Re: Battery Ageing Model

. The CCC/CEC or CCD/CED counters are often counting up a bit just after the car is started. Here's an example: Normal commute to work, 50km, then parked during the day (no c harger connected), then home 50km. The graph is computed as ["consumed Ah"] divided by ["consumed SOC%"] ...

Re: SOH change

I've just visited a friend who also bought a 2015 Soul EV, just a month after me. He is now over 60000 km too, and I thought I should go there and check the BMS values in his car to get more statistics. But he had the 60000 km service done only a couple of days earlier, and I found that the same sof...

Re: SOH change

My deterioration numbers have been going roller coaster since the BMS reset. New update every charge cycle. One thing I have never seen before is that updates have taken place even when the charging was started from higher SOC than 30%. In these cases the update happened at 94% SOC instead of the us...

Re: SOH change

- Have you tried asking the Kia service techs why they did this? Well, they didn't tell me they had in the first place. I just assume they always connect the KDS/GDS, log in to some service site and then things just happen.. I might just call and ask "innocently" why the Cumulative...

Re: SOH change

Also this morning the deterioration numbers had changed: Max 9.5 (same), Min 7.1 (down from 7.5), same cells as yesterday. Odometer 61304 km. This time I started the charging at 52% and the update happened at 94.0% SOC. Update at these circumstances is a new behaviour, because all previous updates c...

Re: SOH change

As expected, my deterioration numbers were set again this night during charging 16-100%. They are now Max: 9.5% and Min:7.5%. Before the reset they had decreased from 13.2/11.7 to 11.4/9.9 so it might be a seasonal change which would have happened anyway. This is also supported by the last few days ...

Re: SOH change

. My SOH has changed. But in the same time, it has NOT! :? 60,000 km service today. Went to the same KIA-authorized workshop as last time, and expected to find an SOH value of around 99.3% (matching Det 11.4/9.9) on the battery report. When the car was ready, the battery report from KDS showed this:...
