Re: Battery Ageing Model

In the Soul Spy topic a spreadsheet is given, showing different values you can get from OBDII. But there are 2 different values: State of Charge of Battery(BMS) SOC Display There are not the same on my Kia Soul EV (and also not by others). A measurement a few days ago, without fully charged showed (...

Re: Setting up Torque to show BMS data

For me it still showed valid results, but for me the temperature was above zero. Here are some more codes you can add: 000_Battery Inlet Temperature,Batt InletT,2105,Signed(J),0,120,C,7E4 000_Battery Min Temperature,Batt MinT,2105,Signed(K),0,120,C,7E4 000_Battery Max Temperature,Batt MaxT,2105,Sign...

Re: Battery degradation

If you buy a OBDII Bluetooth dongle (e.g. a cheap Konnwei KW902 Bluetooth dongle), you could measure the battery deterioration. See this post how to easy measure this: http://www.mykiasoulev.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=135&start=258 Or via Torque Pro: http://www.mykiasoulev.com/forum/viewt...

Re: Soul Spy?

Currently I have also received a Konnwei KW902 and I could connect it with Torque lite. Hi ZuinigeRijder, welcome to the forum. I too have a Konnwei KW902. There is a copy of Torque Pro on the CD that comes with it. I have posted the commands needed to read the battery data with Torque Pro. It save...

Re: Soul Spy?

First some background of the Kia Soul EV I own. I bought my car one year old with 10.000 km driven. It was one of the first demo Kia Soul EV cars on the market in the Netherlands (2014-08-26). I do not have any clue how the car was driven the first year and how the charging behavior has been. Curren...

Re: Setting up Torque to show BMS data

It looks like the options to import data is only available for Torque Pro and not for Torque Lite. In Torque Lite you can only select predefined sets. And manual adding pids in Torque Lite you only have the options: OBD2 PID Long name Short name Minimum value Maximum value Scale factor Unit type Equ...

Is this a project targetting the Kia Soul EV? Can you share more information what the goals and features are?

Re: Soul Spy?

Is there still development on going for the SoulEVSpy? What are the plans? Currently I have also received a Konnwei KW902 and I could connect it with Torque lite. In this forum I see that you can get the battery status and temperatures with sending 2101 till 2105. Which AT commands need to be send w...

Re: Regenerative Braking

What I understand is that regeneration is only 30% efficient for the Kia Soul EV, so it is always better to do no regeneration at all. So in principle it would be better to set it to 'N' and only use regeneration when you have to do more slow down. According to the User Manual it is not good for the...
