Driving through high water

So with all the flooding we have had in Texas as of late, I was wondering what the tolerance is for driving through flooded roads. In my neighborhood, if water starts collecting on my street, it is over a foot deep on the only road out of my neighborhood. I know my beetle diesel could handle that no...

Re: Texas Soul EV owners

Yeah, the problem with being a pioneer, by the time everyone else catches up, things tend to get changed up a little bit. Definitely let me know if you get any EVs in. Most of the people I show really like the car (especially since I have the fun 'n' sun). If I know you have them, I'll make sure to ...

Re: Texas Soul EV owners

That was me, not sure you would get to many people crazy enough to drive 3 hours to get a car. ;) You guys at DeMontrond Kia, Huyndia and VW have been great to work with. I had gotten a used VW Beetle TDI manual from the Huyndia dealership 8 years ago and had brought it to the VW dealer a few times ...

Re: Do you hear the high pitch sound?

There are 3 distinct sounds that I have noticed. First is the beeping when backing up which is the most noticeable. Second is the high pitched whistle when driving forward. I mostly notice this when I have the windows down and the radio is quiet or off and I am driving at low speeds. I checked this ...

Re: Can I safely charge to 100% with my L2 home charger?

One thing I do is use both schedules. There are 2 days a week where I take my son to soccer practice so one schedule has the night before both of those days and is set to 100%. The other schedule has the other 5 days and is set to 80%. That way I don't have to think about changing it manually so lon...

Wow, I didn't realize you guys used a different mile than us. Here a mile is a little over 1.6 km.

Re: What Kia Got Right (And Wrong) With the 2015 Soul EV

Why did they remove the fold down armrest in the back? I thought I remembered seeing it on the gas version and then one day I told my kids in the back to fold it down and they were like "fold what down". I thought I was just confused. Also agree with the regenerative braking and it would b...

Re: Texas Soul EV owners

Aw man, that sucks. I drove all the way out to Austin because the Kia website and one of the 2 local dealers I talked to said that was the closest. The other dealer said they only had them in California and NY. They even have the blue one I would have rather gotten than the grey one I ended up with.

Re: NRG No Charge To Charge

The dealership didn't mention the card, but searching through the stuff they provided I did find it. When I went to register it though they don't have a plan for my area since they don't have any kia dealerships in my area that sell them and I got it from a city more than 200mi away. Also, the drops...
