I am currently driving a 2015 Nissan Leaf SL that I have leased.
I plan on my next vehicle to be a Kia Soul EV+. I'm only 19 months
into my 36 mo. lease, so it's not economical for me to switch vehicles
right now. But, I thought I'd look around at the Soul EVs.

I live in the DFW metroplex so thought surely with 500+ charging
stations around somewhere there would be be a Kia dealer that
sells the Soul EV. Not So. The closest dealer with Soul EVs is World
Car Kia in New Braunfels just north of San Antonio - 260+ miles away.

Hopefully somewhere in the DFW metroplex there will be a Soul EV
dealer some time soon.

It's actually Round Rock Kia and it's where I got mine from and I live in Houston so about the same distance. I found out later that there was a closer dealership, but they only have 2015s and there appears to be no way to search to see who has the 2015s, only the 2016s. Try and see if any of the dealerships near you have an EV certified tech and let them know you would be interested in purchasing one next year. That might help to get them to bring some of the 2017s in.

This is the car I was interested in:

This URL and everything on the website says the dealer is in New Braunfels.
I couldn't work a deal through a local Kia Dealer for 2 reasons.
1. The dealership in New Braunfels wouldn't return the call to the local dealer.
and more importantly
2. I still have 17 mos. to go on my lease on my 2015 Leaf, so it wasn't economical.
I'll have to wait until close to the end of 2017 to look for a new electric.

Looking at the Technical part of this forum shows some scary problems that have
developed with some owners. I really would like local dealer support if a problem
comes up with my new Kia Soul EV. There are several million people here in the
DFW area and over 500 EV public charging stations, so I would hope that Kia will
sell the Soul EV here soon.
