The latest build (v0.1.3-2999) fix an issue with gps positioning not being initiated, adds gps speed and car speedometer to the energy and power page, and modifies the OBD and CAN initialization sequence a bit.

As usually, the APK link is here: https://github.com/langemand/SoulEVSpy/ ... /README.md

I gave it a try. It was working without a problem for me. Well done.

The new version is working for me too. Thanks.

---------------------------------------------------

Also it seems some older 2015 Soul EVs in Quebec are getting the newer 30kWh battery pack when their battery is replaced under warranty.
Hence the code needs to check for the presence of cell 97 to determine the size of the battery.

With Torque I had assumed that pre-MY2018 all cars would have 96 cells and for MY2018 and MY2019 all cars would have 100 cells
This may no longer be the case.

I just tried out the newest version, and everything works great, but I noticed something odd with my battery cell map. I have a 2016 which I bought used recently, and I am sure the battery pack has not been replaced with less than 10,000 miles on it, but it looks like I have 100 battery cells. Am I reading this wrong?
Hopefully this link will work: https://photos.app.goo.gl/84pgQRRHLtHxMuwL7

Warren - yes, I can see your screenshot - and it does show values for 100 cells.
Can you post again with the Min and Max cell voltages and the Battery cell voltage.
It should be easy to see which you actually have by dividing the Battery cell voltage by either 100 or 96.

--------------

My car looks like this (96 cells) . (This is an old version of soulspy - the layout issue on this page has been fixed for me.)

One of the 3 cars in Quebec that claimed to have a bigger 30kWh battery pack is now known not to.
When tested with Torque using the 30kWh codes we see there is no cell 97. see - Facebook: KiaSoulEVQuebec: March 25 at 8:19 PM

I took some more screenshots today, and I'm not sure what's going on but it appears I only have 96 cells today! I'm not sure what could have changed between yesterday and today?
Anyway, here's some hopefully pertinent information.

Thanks for the latest data.
Obviously your car really does only have 96 cells. It is a 27kWh as are all 2016's.
We now need to work out why there was a glitch.
Why did those 4 non-existent cells show convincing looking cell voltages on the first test?

Agreed. I'll do more testing in the coming days.
