When I try and warm the cabin of my Kia Soul EV I get the message saying "Climate control could not be started. Please plug your vehicle in and try again." WTF. You aren't required to be plug in to warm the cabin are you? How is that any good if I am finishing up my appointment and want the cabin pre-warmed?

From what I understand, it DOES need to be plugged in to do cabin pre-conditioning. (Maybe someone will tell me I'm wrong...?) Definitely a major bummer. I don't know if this is something Kia could change with a software update if enough people complain.

Yes, to allow the pre-heating (or pre-cooling) of the cabin, you MUST plug the car to the grid.

UVo don't have more permissions than the scheduled pre-heating system (well, it's the same system after all ... in the GPS for the 2 functions).
