High voltage battery

Mon Feb 22, 2021 6:10 am

Hi.
Iam zia from jordan, and I bought a kia soul ev 2015 two months ago with SOH 75% with range 75 mile (120km)..
A week ago, an ice storm came here and I left the car for 3 days, after that the battery dropped to give range 29 mile...
What is the issue here, and how can we solve it...
Note : there is no any high voltage battery pack here in jordan

Best regards

Was the car at a low state of charge when you put it on the charger?
Do you normally run your battery down below 20% then fully charge it to 100%?

Basically I'm curious if you recalibrated the battery and this is the updated info from that process.

The battery charges around 17 kwh from zero to full!
No i didn't use to discharge under 20..
The millage is 35k mile!
A soul spy says that there is 5 cells under voltage!

1. Charge to 100%
2. Discharge (without charging in between!) to lower than 20% (the lower the better).
3. Charge to 100% without interruption.
If everything happened above 10C, you will have performed a recalibration on your battery pack and should see an updated value both on the GoM but also in the SoH reading.

Good luck.
