I added the MY18 car data to the Google Spreadsheet. It was a car at my local dealership they give me for the day while mine was under repair. Looks like a new BMS software. VIN #28409, built 10/17

As for the LOOKUP code, I could commit it along the older line for backward compatibility

@SiLiZiUMM, how do you read out this info you added ?

I personally use a ELM327 terminal android app to type in raw command. You must unplug/plug the OBD2 dongle to reset it first. Then issue the command:

ATH1
2101
2102
2103
2104
2105

And filter out the results by ECU

Am now looking at some of the new 2018 Soul EV Torque data. It is showing Max Det = zero and Min Det = 100%.
This is not the same behaviour as previous Soul EVs. It is the same as the I oniq EV.
In that car Max Det and Min Det have been removed and instead it shows SOH in the same position.
GizmoEV can you test this on your car.

I setup the new PIDs from GitHub for the 30kWh battery and put together the following screen showing a reading on my 2018 Kia Soul EV+ at the 229 mile mark.

The deteriation values are all zero.

We have conflicting data on the three 2018s we have tested.

Ussiker and GizmoEV both see zero, zero for Min and Max deterioration . Siluzium sees zero, 100

The oldest of the 3 cars is Ussiker's, the newest is GizmoEV's.

Ussiker what is the VIN and odometer for your car? I looked at the data you posted. All seems fine. If you can let us know when the Min and Max deterioration counters first change it might help us understand what is going on.

If you look here - https://github.com/JejuSoul/OBD-PIDs-for-HKMC-EVs/tree/master/Soul%20EV%20-%2030kWh
I updated the spreadsheet with Siluzium's BMS data for the 2018 Soul

I can create a Torque and SoulSpy log later today and send you on mail
Also including a picture showing what firmware version my car has
From what I know the production my car is in Q1 - 2017

Is it possible to download and offline install Torque ?
I have a android device with a broken wifi and if possible I want to install it in my car and have it to automatically start logging when I turn on the OBD adapter. The device will charge when I start the car and it has battery capacity for 5 days without charing so I think this will work. Torque will be running all the time and it will create a new log every time I start the car.

Anyone have a link to Torque ?

I have looked at the Norwegian sales data here - http://www.itanywhere.no/Elbil-reg.php?car=Kia%20Soul&mnd=%25&year=%25
According to this the first MY2018 to arrive in Norway was on the 11th May 2017.
The VINs for the MY2018 in Norway start with *22428
Your car seems to be six weeks later than this.
If I was to guess the mfg data for your car it would be 15th May 2017. Or a week or two earlier if it was trans-shipped through Germany.
Do you have something that shows the exact date?

Some options:
1/ Use the very old copy of Torque that you got free with the OBD adapter. It is on the CD.
2/ Copy the latest apk file from your phone onto the tablet. I guess you will need to have root access to the phone.
3/ Buy a new copy of Torque using the PC software raccoon, Then copy the download from your PC to the tablet.
4/ Pirated copies exist on thepiratebay.org

Working :) thanks

It seems that my car has a production date 7 March 2017

I am getting some strange SOH values on my 2018 Soul EV+.

41720609764_0276f62d32_o.jpg

Restarting Torque and power cycling the car didn't make a difference. I was finally able to get a 33.0kWh value for a brief moment but it went back to this 18.0kWh, 60% SOH value. I checked again today and it shows the same thing.

GizmoEV's 2018 now shows zero, 100.

I don't know what is going on either. We will have to wait and see.
For now the SOH measurements on the 2018s should be taken with a grain of salt.

Another 2018 showing zero, 100% for Max and Min deterioration.

the soh was ok when my soul 30 was new
I suppose it's when the soh went to 99.9% that the calculation went crazy

No. It's not crazy.
We have two 2018 cars that showed zero zero when new and then zero, 100% after a few months.
A rental 2018 car that wasn't tested new showed zero, 100% after a few months.

There is only one 2018 car that still shows zero zero.

Update - two years later - that car is still showing zero, zero
All other cars we know about have swapped to zero, 100%.

Your car still shows zero deterioration. Maybe next year we will see some. Although hopefully not.

Was there a reason for posting the full list of HEX from 2 different times. This thread is for Setting up Torque to show BMS data. Do you think that there is a new PID code to be found in your data?

Yes sorry forgot the add a comment and adding some color
As you see the RED one is still following the rest of the battery

anyone have an idea as to what temperature would be considered too hot to charge?
ive been having issues where after driving home around 45 KM (some stop and go traffic and some hwy speed) the car will report after i plug in on level 2 8 hours left to charge sitting at 60%SOC

ive setup torque and have only been able to keep an eye on 1 drive so far which showed 32C on 4 of 8 battery temp monitors
will keep an eye going forward

I doubt temperature has anything to do with your slow charge rate. I wouldn't worry about a battery at 32C.

From the Arizona test data the Soul EV will take a charge however hot it gets. - Some graphics about Chademo Charge Stations.
This is a bad design. Charging with battery temps above 50C will degrade the battery rapidly.
And yes, no surprise, all the Arizona cars now need replacement batteries. - Arizona SOUL EV Heat testing

Here's a similar experience I had just before I got my OBC changed. - Charging Fault error.

....My car continues to misbehave. Am charging again right now after the multiple failures a few days ago.
Got one failure so far and re-started.

The car showed a really long remaining charge time on the dash (it should be 4 hours) -

But when I looked with Torque all looks normal.

I went back out 20 minutes late and the charge is continuing, but the timer is 2 hours less.

that pictures indicate what is happening to me. but here is my story as short as i can make it

i took a trip in may about 85 KM and stopped at a level 3 to charge upto 83% no prob
apon reaching next level 3 65 km later it refused to charge i tried about 5 times the greenlots customer service said no errors showing on level 3 device.
i made our way to a level 2 at a hotel and once plugged in it said 18 hrs left to charge and as we were unloading our bags it stopped charging.
i unplugged and plugged back in and it said same thing 18 hours left to charge. this time we left before it cut out. but i had to go back to car to get something an hour later and it had stopped charging.
so i unplugged and plugged in but this time it only said 7 hours left to charge but had only charged 2% from the previous plugin

i left and went to dinner and went back several hours later and it had kicked off another 3% from previous plugin.
this time i unplugged and plugged in and it said .2 hours left to charge which was about right for 55% left or whatever it was.

so this is what makes me believe its temperature related.
