Any information on ground clearance?
Based on my water bottle test, it is much the same as the Soul EV.
I avoid off-roading in my Soul. Let's wait for Bjorn in Norway to do the risky stuff.

N iro EV Pre-production test car shown at Jeju Expo.

My Soul EV

The water bottle is 21cm tall.

-------------------------

Main thing to note is that the Soul EV has a plastic cover underneath so you can't see the edges of the pack. It's there for various reasons including aerodynamics. I expect the production version of the N iro EV to have a similar plastic cover.

-------------------------

Production of the N iro EV began on the 3rd July. First deliveries in 2 weeks. - http://www.zdnet.co.kr/news/news_view.asp?artice_id=20180702165959&type=det&re=zdk

July 2nd 2018 : SK Innovation has begun production of NMC811 battery cells for the N iro EV - Link to Korean new article

Also 1,076 K ona EVs delivered in Korea in June.

Some strange news about the N iro EV.
Production has begun for the 64kWh version. The 64kWh N iro EV will go on sale on the 19th July.
There is no news about the 39.2kWh version.

But - the battery chemistry seems to have been suddenly changed at the last minute.
Kia has rejected SK Innovation's new NCM811 chemistry at the last minute.
I can only assume they have just had some bad news while testing this.

N iro EV will no longer use the NCM811 batteries - it will now be NCM622 - still SK Innovation.
and

the new battery is NCM622 equivalent - made by mixing two different chemistries NCM811 and NCM111

Nope. I was wrong. There is no plastic cover under the battery pack. At least not on this N iro EV Bjorn borrowed recently in Seoul.

And to update with some recent news about the ground clearance underneath my Soul EV.
My dog has started sleeping under the car.

Yesterday we didn't notice and began to reverse out of the drive.
The dog got stuck under the battery pack in the middle of the car.
Unhurt but completely squashed in and unable to get out.
I was able to reach under and pull her out.
It hasn't convinced her not to sleep under the car.
