Re: HV battery swap - miles not changing

Does the car actually go 240km now ? What does the range-meter say when you drop below zero?

Re: Inspection lists

Hello everyone. I have recently bought a Kia Soul EV 2016. It is now out of warranty and I'm planning to to most of the maintenence for myself. Workshop will check under the vehicle. I have downloaded the workshop manual, but i'm missing the inspection list (what to do at the different intervals/km...

Re: Gear drive fault?

The gearbox on my 2016 at 172,000 km completely failed. The car won't go into drive or reverse fully, you can hear the motor spinning rapidly and the occasional "clunk" as the gears, or what's left of them, try to engage. :( My car is out of warranty (160k limit) so I'm on the hook. This ...

Re: Cells in HV battery

I too would like to find more information on the how's and where's that this battery cell replacement approach has been used. My 2016 Soul EV+ had the battery pack "refreshed" by KIA in 2020 (157K km), just before it went off warranty. They replaced the "bad" cells in my existing...

Replacement Reduction Gear unit

Well I've run into some bad luck with my Soul EV+. The vehicle has 170,000 km on it and is thus out of warranty. I took it to a local shop to have the axle seal replaced as it had started to leak again (was fixed once before). Everything seemed fine after that repair but within a few days my wife re...

Re: 2016 Soul EV+ Battery Replacement - Remanufactured?

UPDATE!!! After an eternity of waiting (since November 26th of 2021, nearly nine months ago) my local Kia dealership called me to inform me that my vehicle was ready to be picked up! I mentioned that the 12 volt battery and the tires were probably both flat since it had been nearly 9 months and the...

Re: Analysis of a replacement battery.

That is simply amazing to me.

I had my battery replaced almost two years ago and my range is rarely much more than 100km on a full charge (2016).
Granted, I'm often driving on the highway at 115km/h, but I've never enjoyed the so called 150km+ range that others have frequently mentioned.

Re: Help! Fully charged car dies on highway.

Could be your 12v battery under the hood is failing. Sudden lose of 12v voltage would probably result in what you're seeing.

I agree, take it to KIA and get it checked out.

Re: Upgrading the radio/navigation unit

I just use Apple CarPlay on mine, you get the full iOS experience as fast as your phone can run it.

I believe Android Auto is also supported, but I'm not familiar with it.
