Re: Should we buy this 2016 for $11K (US) ?

Oh yes. There have been quite a few battery replacements in the UK for the 27kWh cars, but I can't recall any for the 30 kWh models. Mine is a late 2017-built 30 kWh which still has over 100% SOH ( I calculate about 102%). I seriously doubt there is an early 2017 27 kWh car with more than 90%, and ...

Re: Spare Key FOB

OK, I said I would follow up when my key fob adventure came to an end, so here it is. I got my second fob today. Unfortunately, due to not getting any responses from anyone about which fob model # to get, the one I got from eBay seems to have been the wrong one for my 2017, so I had to bite the bull...

Re: Spare Key FOB

How do you program it to your car? I only got one with my new Soul. I previously had a Spark EV, and it required programming by the dealer. I'm dealing with the same thing myself. The simple answer is "I'm not yet sure." I had placed an order with Ace Hardware (for around $270 if I rememb...

Re: Cold climates without battery heater?

I thought I'd follow-up on this post myself, as I couldn't find any other discussion on the topic on this forum, but I did find some interesting info on the My Nissan LEAF forum. I'm inclined to believe that this won't be an issue for me. I keep the car in a garage, which I can heat in the winter if...

Re: Range meter vs actual miles

A BMS reset returns the GOM to a preset value, after which it slowly adapts to real world data. Right, I got that. However, the point I was trying to make was, sometimes getting the BMS update/reset sets the range more in line with reality if you notice that it's reporting much lower than what you'...

Re: Spare Key FOB

I wasn't too sure about my key fob part # (posted elsewhere about it), since mine was a very late 2017 27kWh model, and it seems like maybe the late 2017 and newer had a different fob, depending on where one looks up the info. I ended up just ordering an aftermarket fob from Ace Hardware (in the USA...

Re: Range meter vs actual miles

I just got my BMS reset due to some recall the dealer mentioned (which I can't find any info on anywhere), and I find the guess-o-meter is actually much more accurate now after the BMS reset. I've owned the car for about 600 miles now (roughly 450 miles or so before the reset, 150 since). The GOM di...

Any Chicagoland owners out there?

I know I've seen Soul EV around on rare occasions in the Chicago area (other than mine) -- any other Chicagoans around?

Re: Wisconsin owners

I am the owner of a 2016 EV+ in the Madison area. 4k miles at present. No issues and the car is a pleasure to drive. However, the closest certified dealer is in Rochester, NY, so if something breaks, I will probably ship it to a dealer, have them fix it and then buy it from me. Sad but true. A loca...

Cold climates without battery heater?

Hi, I bought a Soul EV (2017 27kWh) a couple of weeks ago, and it's come to my attention that the one I bought may not have the battery heater... I live near Chicago, and we get pretty cold in the winter (-20F/-30C is rare but does occasionally happen). I had a 2012 Leaf SL before, and that had a ba...
