Re: EPB tool for rear brake pad replacement

That's using the official Kia dealer GDS to back off the EPB. I'm looking for something to do the same in my home garage.

EPB tool for rear brake pad replacement

Anyone have any recommendations for an EPB tool that definitely works for our cars? I need to replace the pads soon and this is the first car I've owned with an EPB.

Re: 2016 Soul EV+ ... is my battery eligible for replacement?

At least the replacement battery is turning up quickly. That's good news, some people previously have had to wait weeks to months.

Re: Battery Upgrades?

Almost certainly not from Kia. I know there was someone posting from a country where there was a thriving independent EV mechanic culture and people were putting battery packs from one car in another one.

Re: Resolved: Heat pump stopped working after climate software update SA427, fixed via Kia Service Action 210031

I don't think that there is any way to tell without using the dealer KDS to read the software versions. My saved climate control preset heating / cooling times were unaltered by the update. Maybe go in to the dealer with a print out of the service action and ask to watch the tech plug the KDS in to ...

Re: rear wiper home position/service mode

The signal line drives the motor for the first part of the sweep, and then once it is past a certain point then the power driv...

Re: Battery bar flashing....?! Anyone knows why?

It's been seen on many cars since they were released, I think that one of the earliest threads on this forum was about it. I've not seen an actual fix for it, there have been software updates and instrument cluster replacements, but it seems to always come back. There seems to be no actual problem a...

Re: Charging stops within seconds

Are you sure the commercial stations are fully working? The car monitors what the station is supplying and if it is out of spec it will stop charging to avoid causing damage.

Re: Painting white wheel covers black

I don't know why the tyre place thinks they need special equipment, they don't. The Soul EV has a standard jacking point by each wheel. This can be used with any 2 post lift to lift the whole car, or a floor jack at any one point to lift just that wheel. There isn't much clearance between the jackin...
