Re: Resolved: Heat pump stopped working after climate software update SA427, fixed via Kia Service Action 210031

That's odd. Every time my car goes in to my dealer, they run a query on the computer based on the VIN. It prints out any outstanding service actions and they add them on to the list of things to do automatically. Maybe try contacting Kia's corporate headquarters and tell them that the dealer is refu...

None of the software updates are documented as to what they actually do, apart from the parking brake one. They all just say "logic improvement".

Are they not applying it to your car? Or have they applied it and you still have the issue?

Re: Everything dead after “stop vehicle check brakes” warning

I agree that the 12V needs testing to die so quickly. Also note that while it is charged from the main battery, it's only the equivalent of driving around in an ICE car. So if the 12V is fully discharged it's better to initially charge it while disconnected from the car with a separate battery charg...

Re: Parking brake button

Mine was replaced by the dealer under an extended warranty as it broke internally. It comes as the block of 3 switches and just snaps in to the console. Google for part number 93766-E4050CA (with parking sensors) or 93766-E4150CA (without parking sensors) - many of the parts sites have exploded diag...

Re: Analysis of a replacement battery.

With COVID I'm barely driving it, will be a while before I sort out whether the GOM range is anything like the real range.

Re: Analysis of a replacement battery.

Dashboard shows 100%, Soul EV Spy shows 2 values, the 100% on the dash and the actual charge level of 95%.

Re: Analysis of a replacement battery.

I had mine in to the dealer recently for some other work. I'm still on the original battery but part of the work included a BMS update. I just got it to recharge and recalibrate today the updates and I'm seeing a similar range improvement. After the recalibration it showed max deterioration of 17% f...

Re: different charger? rear view mirror issue as well

It's going to depend where in the world you are. In Europe the setup is as IanL describes where you need a cable with the two ends. In North America, the normal chargers all have a cable built in to them and you don't need anything else.

Here's a link to the actual document https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2021/ ... 0-0001.pdf
It doesn't say what has actually changed, just gives new software version numbers. It's mainly the instructions to the techs on which buttons to press on the KDS to do the update.

Just to confirm, I had the update done on Monday and it was cool enough to verify today - the heat pump is fixed! :D
