Re: Setting up Torque to show BMS data

' I saw this disclaimer on a Tesla app. It seems appropriate for the Torque codes we use too. "Information shown in this app was not meant for the public and may be inaccurate, subject to change or disappear as the car gets software updates. This information is presented for entertainment purpo...

Re: Battery replacement woes

- Your car has a 27kWh battery not 30kWh. From the data you give from your tests that would be SOH = 80%. You will not get a replacement battery until SOH goes below 70%. It is more common than not that the Kia dealers reset the battery computer to give you a false reading. They have no idea that th...

Re: Comparison Of Fuel Economy for Battery Electric Vehicles

- In 2017 the incoming Republicans ended Advanced Vehicle Testing of Battery Electric Vehicles in the US. Am hoping the incoming Democrats will restore this program because it provided really useful data. - Looking back at the laboratory analysis of a 2015 Soul EV battery pack, There is so much grea...

Re: What is the total capacity of the MY2018 battery.

- I have just realised how easy it is to refute the silly claim that the 2018 Soul EV has total capacity of 31.8 kWh. One guess is 31.8 kWh by contributors to - Wikipedia: Kia Soul EV They make the guess that Kia 'improved' the usable window of cell capacity from 37,5 Ah to 40 Ah out of 42,36 Ah. Th...

Re: Analysis of a replacement battery.

- Here is a 28.8A charge from 7% SOC to 100% SOC. (The input to the OBC averaged 28.7A, 216.4V over 5 hours. Both stay fairly constant throughout.) (The output from the OBC varies as the battery voltage increases. Voltage goes up, current goes down.) (The ratio of input power / output power = effici...

Re: Analysis of a replacement battery.

- After 1 year 4 months and 17,250km the replacement battery is still doing really well. Still 0.1% deterioration loss. (Is this possible? Have they changed the way the BMS works?) Here are the results of my latest range test and calibration. I charged up to 100%, drove down to 7% and then charged b...

Re: Battery Ageing Model

- In temperate climates not all original 27kWh Soul EVs fail. My 2015 has done 82,000km shows 175 km range, and still has an SOH of 96%. In hot climate zones many of the original 27kWh Soul EVs began failing years ago. Now it seems even in Norway many are starting to fail. Here's a 2015 Kia Soul 27k...

I recommend the Konnwei KW902. I have had two of these for 5 years now. They work.
I have no idea about the Konnwei KW910. If it works please add it to the thread here.

Re: 2015 Soul EV: My Battery Replacement Story

- Sorry. There was a typo in my comment that I just fixed. You have the 37510-E4000 pack which is the same as the original. (It's on the repair paperwork you posted on page 1 of this thread.) I have the 37510-E4200 pack which is the updated version. Neither of us have a battery heater. These are num...
