Re: Inspection lists

I believe there's a gearbox fluid change at 75K miles. and coolant at 120K mi. for the rest it's all inspect for leaks and damage, wear and tear. Cabin filter every 10K  and that's about it. I'd suggest the Soulspy app and Konnwei KW902 ELM327 OBD2 dongle and you can read SOH and general thin...

Re: Soul EV Spy Questions and Answers

Dear Soul Spy, I'm glad to say your app gave me the insight into SOH, prompting me to go to the dealer and ask to have a formal EV battery read out. Soul Spy had me at 69.7% and by the time I got to the dealer is was down to 66%. I have a new battery, installed in 30 days from first warranty claim. ...

Re: No options for a Bike Rack?

I have an older Thuile square bar rack and bought feet for the 2nd gen Soul and works just fine. You take a hit on range for sure. I drive to local trails and beach so Fatbikes and surfboards are a thing and it works.

Re: SOH 100% and poor range

couple things reading this through. Nothing on the Dash tells you anything but SOC, state of charge. SOH State of Health can be read by KDS KIA Diagnositc System, dongle and ipad device and is a line on the report showing all things SOC and SOH. 2017 should be well under warranty 100K mi and 10 year...

Re: New Battery! Only 40 miles reported

My Battery was replaced this week. After install GOM still showed 54mi. They did SA473 BMS FATC update and drove it 40mi and the car now shows 94mi at 98% in 45F weather. It still might get better with more driving. I just put 55 mi + on it driving back from dealer and had 54% charge left. I did dis...

Re: Battery Backorder? Since Nov '21

My 2016 Soul EV+ Battery pack went bad 66% SOH at 57K mi and 5 1/2 years. Was around 50-54mi range. Saw Dealer 12/27. Submitted claim 12/28. On 1/4 Kia corp called to say approved and last closed batch shipments was Oct 31 so could be 2-3 months. Email received 1/6 from corp saying pack was in wareh...

Re: My Soul EV's Full Charge Is About 10 Miles Less In Colder Weather(below 50 degrees)

sadly across most if not all EVs winter and summer mean dramatic swings, My 2016 Soul goes from 95-100mi in 80-90F down to 75mi in 40f or less. and drops consistently as Fall season moves to winter. My 2014 Ford Focus Electric dropped form 76-80mi to 45 mi back in the day. Larger packs suffer less, ...

Re: Connecting car WiFi with home WiFi

the only WIFI enabled app is Yelp, and I believe The idea was to connect your car while charging to a Netflix type solution and stream while sitting charging. It never materialized and therefore a dead end. A waste really. From a safety perspective, it doesn't work while driving, as in connecting it...

Re: UVO Modem down

just to confirm, no 3G modem or service we can still do all carplay and other entertainment through the phone, just not unlock the car or check charging status of the car... What about setting charge timers with internal software? programing preheat etc through the dash vs the phone op?
