Re: What SOH I have ?

KW902 is the one you want. I ordered one off of eBay. Looking forward to messing around with it. :) I'm particularly interested to see how quickly/slowly the cells come out of balance. Since by charging to 80% every time, we're not cell balancing (unless the BMS is designed to do that when set to 8...

Konnwei makes a tonne of models (KW910, KW912, etc.). Are they all suitable, or are some recommended over others?

Re: Has anyone replaced their 12V battery with lithium?

Same brand ? That's interesting. The one in there now is from Hyundai's battery division. Might be hard to come by! But anyway, it shouldn't be detected as abnormal because it supplies the same power profile. In fact it's better than the included vehicle battery in pretty much every category (but y...

What's better, immediately putting a low battery on charge or leaving it 90 minutes before putting it on charge?

It's easy to get lists of battery best practices, things such as wait 90 minutes before putting it on charge, not charging it above 80%, storing it near 50%, etc. But they rarely address the fact that some suggestions can be mutually exclusive. For example, if you finish a trip at 25% charge, you're...

Re: Charging to only 80% when not using timed charging?

My guess is that the 80% is the usable capacity not the total capacity because the 100% is the usable capacity and it would make sense that it would follow the same methodology. That being said I wish there was an option to charge to 90% which is a good compromise for range vs battery life. The opt...

Re: Charging to only 80% when not using timed charging?

Here's a question that I am guessing at the answer to, but would prefer to be certain rather than to guess. When it charges to 80%, is it charging to 80% of the total capacity or 80% of the useable capacity? Because staying under 80% of the total capacity is what's actually important, though even lo...

Better mileage using "B-mode" all the time, or only some of the time?

I watched a YouTube video where the presenter asserted that he shifts into "D", with occasional bursts into "B" in the turns and down certain hills, as he thinks that gives him the best mileage on a charge overall. That's confusing to me. Wouldn't the best mileage overall be to j...

Any idea what model years it was removed from? It seems the 2015 and 2016 had it. Which years do not?

Re: Charging to only 80% when not using timed charging?

Wow... just, wow. That's ridiculous. Thanks for bringing me up to speed on that. I have the same setting and was hoping that it could be set to do opportunity charging up to a max of 80% as well, but clearly not from what you're saying. The overnight timed charging to 80% is all well and good, excep...

Charging to only 80% when not using timed charging?

Hi all, this is my first post to the forum, so hopefully this isn't a topic that's been covered to death (I didn't find a thread, but perhaps I missed it!). I see that there's an option to charge to only 80% when using timed/metered charging. However, I don't see that option when metered charging is...
