Latest E400 BMS update appears to have reduced usable capacity.

Yeah why would they still do 2 different battery variants. I assumed since the "Battery warranty for US is a replacement battery with >70% battery capacity....then even putting the smaller Refurbished battery in a 2018-2019 would fulfill Warranty promise and save them some "cells" to have move...

Latest E400 BMS update appears to have reduced usable capacity.

That is nice to know. I assumed the 37510-E4203R battery might be 2015-2019 replacement battery pack instead of only replacing batteries from 2015-2017 models. Then again I think there was only a 1.3kWh total pack size deviation...so 27kWh pack was closer to 30.5kWh vs 31.8kWh for the 30kWh...

    Kia buy back

He said earlier that dealer offered $8700 when he initially dropped vehicle off. (Assuming Dec 4th and recently offered $7000 when he picked it up, but then left it as High Voltage Warning was present) I got my 2015 Soul EV + back in July and then returned it as it rolled out of the driveway...

check electrical vehicle system appears causing the car to come to a sudden stop

I have 2 vehicles that allow full Regen at 100% indicated SOC The 2015 Soul EV + and a 2023 F150 Lightning Pro SR The Lightning has a larger buffer than the Soul EV so I assume it would be harder to get near actual pack capacity to stop Regen from working. My 2015 Soul EV still does Regen even...

Latest E400 BMS update appears to have reduced usable capacity.

I think my 2015 Soul EV got a 30kWh battery as post recall BMS and wiring harness it ended up still needing a battery replacement. Current battery has had the most range and DC charging to 80% is till 80% not 83%. However my car has been back at the dealer since Aug 26th because it has rolled...

Battery Recall for cars with E400 high-voltage battery.

As an update...my vehicle is back at dealer again. Not battery-related though. I found the vehicle in the street one morning. (Vehicle was parked in driveway and rolled out into the street. (Cul-de-sac)) *Post EPB recall fix that was supposed to be done when car was in for BMS recall*...

No more Kia Soul EV for Canada, apparently

The EV4 (assuming same as EV3 platform) 400V rather than 800V like current E-GMP seems like a side-grade. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyundai_Electric_Global_Modular_Platform EV4 also seems to have larger dimensions, so not quite "Soul Sized" Being in the USA it has been very disappointing...

Battery Recall for cars with E400 high-voltage battery.

I trusted that my Soul EV needed a new battery. I have other vehicles (2019 Bolt EV Premier, 2017 Kia Niro Touring, 2023 Ford F150 Lightning Pro) and an working with a dealer that advocates on my behalf. *Probably helps that my family (cousins, aunts and uncles) have purchased about 12 Kia...

Battery Recall for cars with E400 high-voltage battery.

While vehicle is till at the dealer and undergoing "Flight tests" ...I received a new letter attached about an additional BMS update dated June 4th. Main point from letter: • Kia is aware that your vehicle's BMS was previously replaced and updated under NHTSA Recall #23V218 (Kia'a Reference...

Battery Recall for cars with E400 high-voltage battery.

Strongly concur on contacting a 3-on-your side type media outlet to have them give your issue some voice and traction. My local Horne Kia dealer has been better in terms of loaners or even rentals compared to Mark Kia here in Gilbert/Phoenix/Scottsdale area. Kia sent me an email that they are...

Battery Recall for cars with E400 high-voltage battery.

I will follow-up in a month. Oddly when I lost power accelerating through a light in Jan 2023 went from 30% to 0% dead and would not AC nor DC Charge. -Mark Kia had to reset BMS in order for car to start AC charging again. I was only getting around 67 miles of range of surface street driving...

Kia dealer has my SoulEV for 3+ months

May I get a link to a Soul EV fire? The only Home fires I have seen related to a Kia Soul were Gas variants. As for the loaner vehicle : my extended warranty covers a loaner vehicle. I didn't need a loaner when initial software recall was done in Nov, as I was taking delivery of a F150 Pro...
