I have a Kia Soul EV and I'm thinking about getting a CHAdeMO adapter adapter. Has anyone used one of these?

I haven’t used one personally, but from what I’ve read, a CHAdeMO adapter could be a solid investment if you regularly need faster charging. Just be aware that the network of CHAdeMO chargers is shrinking in favor of CCS, so it’s worth checking the stations near you to see if it’s a long-term solution. If you don’t need fast charging often, you might be fine sticking with Level 2 at home or work.

I have been looking at what is available. They aren't cheap. They run in the neighborhood of $1200 CAD. Since I charge at home 99% of the time I only use CHAdeMO when I travel. So far there are sufficient CHAdeMO chargers available on Vancouver Island/British Columbia with more planned. I haven't seen any loss of ports to date. I hope I don't have to go with an adaptor. I will definitely wait to see what happens when NACS becomes the norm. A NACS adaptor might be more useful if CHAdeMO EV's are still on the road. I doubt my 2016 Kia Soul EV will be since it may be at least 10 years before NACS replaces the present ports. There are several videos on YouTube on CHAdeMO adapters.
