I didn't notice Greg's question about the brake fluid but Kia sent their own rep out to look at the car after this happened and they made absolutely no mention of anything being abnormal. Certainly didn't call out the brake fluid which I'd think they'd do if they noticed that.

Let me know what they say! Wonder if there's tell you the same thing they told me ...

If they did find any problems, they certainly didn't mention it to me. I turned in the car at the end of my lease. Hope this doesn't happen to the next driver

Just talked to insurance and it's bad news. Because there's no evidence of defect/failure, we basically have to accept responsibility. Guilty and I don't even know how we can prove we're innocent. Anybody have any ideas on what else I can do?
