ETA for new “refurbished” battery: Jan 2020! Have escalated my case with Kia corporate to see what can be done. If only my Soul EV worked as hard as the Kia folks I have dealt with. Everyone from the dealership to the corp level has been responsive, helpful and friendly.

It would seem odd for Kia to end the Soul EV. The Soul is their best selling car. I've seen the new Niro at the dealer, it's not the same as the Soul. It is more of a hatch back then an suv. Storeage space looks less.

Didn't know about larger battery pack. Would be nice if I got one of those. Any rumors about how much larger? My is one of the older Soul EV ( Feb. 2015) with 60,000 km+ so hopefully it's an outlier and not a sign of things to come for the rest of the fleet.

Heard back from Kia dealer. They ran a BMS test, and found that my batteries were at 58%. They have spoken to Kia, and the battery pack and the BMS are to be replaced due to it being defective. Has anyone else had this happen? I had 37.5k miles, in two years driving around Hawaii.
