The newest BMS update is necessary for Kia to approve battery replacement, my dealer applied for a battery replacement last year but Kia told them to update the BMS first. Obviously the SOH was above 70% after the update, so Kia didn’t approve the application.
So please don’t blame your...
Yeah they have been working on a fix for some weeks now, my dealer told me the same thing when they checked mine a couple of weeks ago. They also tried some kind of update which didn’t work. Hopefully they will fix it before the winter ends.
I will download Torque Pro later and see what...

I’m not sure how to check if I have a battery heater or the number of the update that messed up the heat pump. But apparently it wasn’t part of the e-brake update, but a service action regarding BMS/FATC...
I don’t think that update is the only root to the problem, as mine is first registered in January 2015. Most if not all people in Norway got that issue after a recall for the e-brake where they also updated the BMS.
I suspected it wouldn’t calibrate in cold weather, but my dealer said temperature didn’t matter when I asked. Sometimes I think people on the internet knows more than the people selling and servicing the cars..
Welcome to the club. I would think your SOH is under 70%. My SOH is 72% and I get 50-55km range now. I live in Norway, and I would think temperatures here are lower than NL.
But given your high GOM estimates I’m not sure if it’s recalibrated after being reset by software update. My GOM shows...
I will. We’ve had some somewhat cold days in southern Norway lately, and the car is as thirsty as a E-Tron. Not fun when paired with a heavily degraded battery.
They say they can’t roll back. I suspect it’s because they updated the BMS, and they have done something to increase the SOH. Mine went from 64% to 71% after the update, unfortunately for me that meant no battery replacement yet.
A little update. Dealer tried a fix, but it unfortunately didn’t work. I think it was a new SW update, but not 100% sure.
Anyway the message they got from Kia Norway was that they were working hard on a solution, so both Kia and the dealer acknowledges the issue. But I got nothing in writing...
No, I haven’t been in contact with KIA myself, but they have confirmed this on mail to other people on the Facebook group. I have a appointment next Thursday to check this, but Kia dealers in Norway never give written confirmations on warranty work. At least to my knowledge, I’ve asked my dealer...
We have become aware of this issue in Norway as well. Someone on the Norwegian Facebook owners group tested this extensively, and it appears that since the last BMS/parking brake update the heat pump does not turn on below 15c on the 27kwh cars. Many people, including me, have confirmed that the...
