What do you mean by "keep the car after it’s repaired." Do you mean you will need to own it after the lease, or will you still lease it (and then trade it in)?
I can't really say anything about 1, but for 2 I have some input. KMF really holds their contract to the letter, and your chance in getting some sort of extension is slim. I tried to extended my other KMF lease, and was told no - several time by different reps.
I started my lease in 12/16 for a 2016 EV+ with sunroof and 12K per year miles (in NJ).
Lease Maturity Date: 12/19
My residual value is $12967.60 (USD).
Pricing... to be honest its embarrassing, so I will not say. I had really bad credit at the time so I don't think I need to say more.
I charged mine throughout the winter, and even in my small garage. I have never heard that fan kick up (just picked up my car in December). This is most likely due to the batteries not getting hot enough, so we will see how this spring/summer plays out.
I kind of have idea what they were talking about, but Google Translate (through youtube) was no help... unless they were talking about pasta, and "Mr. Heat".
We drive another 16 that was on the lot, and it had the same problem. Even the tech heard it as well. Not only that, when he went for EV training, he brought that up to Kia cause he heard it on those "training" cars.
I brought my car in due to this whine today. I went to the dealer for something else, and I spoke to the service manager about it in passing. He was perplexed based on the data that I collected and he advised me to come back tomorrow for further analysis. More updates to follow...
