On the 2020 Soul EV, you can unlock the charging cable before target charging is reached by pressing the remote unlock button on the key fob (and presumably using the UVO app).

Winter mode setting (selected from the car's menu on its lcd screen) keeps the battery warm - think of it like a block heater. The car doesn't need to be charging. My morning schedule isn't predictable, so instead of setting a timer, I turn on climate control to defrost windows, warm cabin...

Going to answer my own question - and ask a few more. With snow in the forecast, I took my winter tires (already mounted on rims) out of storage. These were from my (gas powered) 2016 Kia Soul SX, so are 235/45 on 18" wheels. These ended up fitting just fine on my 2020 Kia Soul EV Limited...

Strange! EV stations with 220v plugs only? You will probably destroy your 110V Level 1 charger if you try and run it using some adapter cable, which presumably does not alter voltage. At worst, you'd start a fire. If you really want/need to charge there, buy a plugable Level 2 charger.
