So, $400 later, my car looks like new again. As an FYI, the body shop owner said these KIA bumper covers are nice to work on, very thick with a great finish. Mine was a bit more expensive than normal because I didn't want to replace my carpool stickers...

Parked at LAX this past week and the valet put a big scratch on my rear bumper! Now I have to deal with their insurance to have it fixed/replaced....

so I am 2500 miles in, and for the most part ignore the "sonic branding" the only other issue I just noticed is sometimes my radio switched modes from FM to AM shortly after I start up.

I have seen the same on mine, if you leave the climate control in auto, it reduces the range on the meter, try turning it to off if you haven't already done so. Try looking at the energy screen that shows what is using power (electronics, drive motor, or cliamate). Also, uphill does use a lot...

I was just curious what the lowest state of charge you have taken your Soul EV to? I have gotten to 35% after a 70 mile run...

So, I spoke to the Kia service Mgr at Kia of DTLA and we went through the little issues and while he is not positive, he thinks the Daytime Running lights are not there for power savings (we verified that a regular Soul operates as expected and the EV does not). On the start and stop tunes...

FYI anyone looking for the car, I just stopped by the downtown Loa Angeles kia dealership (to pick up my free greenlots card and a little charge time) and Adam told me he is expecting a new batch of the EV soon.
