I really love the new Ioniq 5 (from what I can tell). The EV6 sort of but I like the Hyundai version more. This is hurting me. I love this car so much. I just want this to work.
OK the firmware seems to be the latest, but they don't understand the difference between the heat pump and resistive heater. :? I noticed my coolant is between Min and Max -- would that be low enough to keep the system from functioning? There are no error codes.
Still no heat pump action :( Is there a way to tell if they properly applied the update? It didn't seem like any of my settings were reset, I would have expected that after an update, but I've never had one done before.
They only do what Kia tells them to. I'm not kidding, they just fill out a form and wait for some Kia suit to reply on what to do. From the invoice I got back the service writer didn't understand what I was saying or didn't write it correctly.
I can go back tomorrow and say the fix didn't work...
Does anybody have any documentation about this issue? SA473 for Kia of America is out there, but there is no documentation that it is to fix this issue. The dealer didn't understand what I asked for at all
edit: in desperation, I paid the $19.00 to access the Kiatechinfo website for 72 hours...
Service action 473 (SA473) is now on the NHTSA website, dated April 29 (Kia was still telling me there was no update a few days ago...). I will try and get an appointment for next week!
It's not a cell connectivity issue that I can tell, as I'm in a big city and have a lot of problems with the app. It's very slow and lately responds more often, but still gives errors a lot.
