My Soul EV's Full Charge Is About 10 Miles Less In Colder Weather(below 50 degrees)

Why would this be. I don't have a heated garage....charge it outside.

    Battery Upgrades?

I'm reading the latest EVs have battery range over 300 miles. If not right now, might it be possible in the future for us owners of pre-2020 EVs be able to upgrade to higher range batteries. Or maybe, possible in the future to add more cells, modules?

Rolling Up Level 1 Charger Cord When Not Using

Can anyone recommend anything to make this easier than wrapping it manually? I was thinking of maybe using a garden hose reel, substituting the charging cord instead of a hose. Any thoughts, ideas, recommendations?

    Universal EV Mounting Pole

Can anyone recommend a basic universal mounting pole I could purchase to install on the back of my house(I don't have a garage). Thanks.

    Using Level 1 Charger Outdoors

The Level 1 charger that came with my Soul EV works fine for me. I plug it in to an outside outlet, as I have no garage to store my car in. It would be easier, more convenient for me to keep the charger plugged in and hung up on the outside of my house when not using it(locked up, of course...

    Mileage Variation with Full Charge

Own a 2017 Kia Soul since this winter. It's great. Just curious - how come the mileage on a full charge varies a little? In the colder weather it's around 85-88 miles. Now that it's warmer, it varies from upper 80s to around 97 miles. Seems a little lower after charging in rainy weather...

Range for Fully Charged(?) 2017 Soul

Range for Fully Charged(?) 2017 Soul

The "charge" light on my charger went off(only the power light stays on). The 3 blue lights on the dashboard have now gone out. This means I have a full charge? If so, my full charge range is 78 miles. The estimated range for a new 2017 Soul is 93 miles. I understand there is a yearly...

S1 At Home Charging Problems: 2018 Soul

So you have to use the timed charger to charge. So I should have that pushed in and then I have to set the day of the week/start time/end time on the dashboard monitor. I thought that just an option. The manual's instructions to have the parking brake on is just a safety suggestion? In...

S1 At Home Charging Problems: 2018 Soul

The car salesman said just click it in and plug it into an outlet and there you go. This is hardly the case, I'm finding out. I've somehow managed to get the charge going through many attempts...up until not. It's seems like there a multi step process here. The instructions say to Engage...

    New at Home Charging Concerns

Thank you both for the advice. I am defintely interested in purchasing a L2 charger. 2 more newbie questions: Why the varying prices on L2's. Will a $300 L2 charge as quickly as a $700 one? I do have a unused 250 volt electrical outlet in my kitchen that would easily reach to my car...

    New at Home Charging Concerns

Just got my 2017 Kia Soul this past weekend. Had some problems figuring out the proper procedure for doing a home charge - Type 1. I think I finally figured it out. Yesterday I had the charge on for maybe 6 hours. When I started the charge, I had about 29 driving miles left. After all...

Adding a Level 2 Charger at my Home?

Not exactly following this, as I'm not that familiar with electrical terms. So for right now, I am having some difficulties with my first attempt at charging. Dealer told he just plug in the Type 1 charger that comes with the car either to a regular electrical outlet. I am doing that...

Adding a Level 2 Charger at my Home?

Loving my recently purchased 2017 Kia Soul EV. Novice Question: There is an unused 240 V outlet in my kitchen. Appears to have been used by a previous occupant for an electric dryer...complete with outside vent. If I purchased a Level 2 charger, could I plug that right into the 240V kitchen...
