I got mine on 1/2 and have yet to see another one on the road here in Orange County, CA.

    Key Not Detected

Essentially, yes. I can't remember where I read it (on the media center screen?) that if the key is not detected, then you need to literally push down on the start button with the key fob. It's worked for me 3 or 4 times.

    Key Not Detected

I've had this happen to both key fobs. If it happens, you can press the key fob directly on the start button and the car will start. Don't know why this is happening since I've only had the car for a month. I doubt the batteries in both key fobs are running low this soon.

    Home Charging (SF Bay Area)

I bought the Electric Motorwerks Juicebox EVSE and installed it myself. I paid $479 for the EVSE and about $75 in parts to put in the 14-50R outlet in the garage. I upgraded my panel a few years ago to 200A, and I had two slots available in the panel for a 40A double pole breaker. If you don't...

    Buying Soul EV in SoCal

I worked with Rashid at Kia of Irvine. Great experience, and a great deal. Lease/buy doesn't matter because you should negotiate the price of the car in both cases, not the monthly payment. I used the True Car average selling price, and they matched it.

    Driving distance diminishing quickly

3.9 since I drove it off the lot.

    Driving distance diminishing quickly

Same here, though I feel like I drive pretty conservatively. Mostly suburbia driving, on Eco and B mode. There are hills where I live, so I figure that's a pretty big factor.

Any Soul EV owners using Juicebox EVSE?

Finally received the Juicebox yesterday, installed it this morning and everything is working well. The instructions that came with it said that it's pre-configured for 30A operation, and I just left it there. Sarah from emotorwerks had asked me to let them know if the scheduled charging built...

Soul EV not charging on scheduled reservation

I had the same thought as well. That button, if depressed, overrides the reservation and starts charging right away.

    little issues?

I reported this same issue on the Kia Soul Facebook group and several others confirmed that it's happening to them as well. It may have been addressed in an update since it hasn't happened in the last day or so to me.

Any Soul EV owners using Juicebox EVSE?

Dorian replied with the following: So the most it will use is 27.5 amps using the 240V plug?

Any Soul EV owners using Juicebox EVSE?

Dorian said that it defaults to 30A current draw limit. It can be changed by turning the trimpot to R20. I am guessing that this is a small dial on the PCB?

Any Soul EV owners using Juicebox EVSE?

Thanks for this info! I wonder if mine will come pre-configured for 32 amps, or if I will need to do something in the box since I did not order the remote. I sent them an email asking about it.

Any Soul EV owners using Juicebox EVSE?

Just purchased the Juicebox EVSE (base model) and am looking forward to level 2 charging at home. I installed the RV outlet in my garage yesterday (saved $300 doing this myself) so all I will need to do when the Juicebox arrives is install the mount and plug it in. Are any other Soul EV owners...

SoCal Dealers and Selling over MSRP

Yes, there is a $400 fee when I turn in the car unless I lease another car at that time. There is also an early termination fee - can't remember how much that is but I plan to keep it for all 36 months.

SoCal Dealers and Selling over MSRP

    It's a + and a 12,000 mile per year lease.

SoCal Dealers and Selling over MSRP

That's why I leased. Battery degradation and EV improvements over the next three years could make this car somewhat obsolete. I think I will love it while I have it though.

SoCal Dealers and Selling over MSRP

Just picked up my new Soul EV + (black/red) from Kia of Irvine. I think I got a really good deal as my total due at signing was $2,500 and my monthly payment, including taxes, was $281. I worked with one of the internet managers and actually negotiated the whole deal via their online chat. It...
