FYI, you can also just unscrew the EPB unit from the caliper, manually wind it back it (and lubricate it while you are at it), and then mount it back onto the caliper when you are done with the service. When you hit the EPB, you will hear it taking some time to wind back out until it hits...

Indeed - and after pushing Kia Canada for months, and for them STILL (now) to be telling the same story to me and others (that nothing is wrong with the car), I'm disgusted at their apparent dishonesty and lack of concern for their customers.

Sure, I will update the title to read "Heat pump stopped working after climate software update SA427". Interesting re the comment earlier on a 2014 model not affected by this issue - the SA427 FATC update only appears to cover model years 2016 and 2017. Have a look at the TSB here...
