Well the Mrs washed my jeans with the keyfob in it, opened it up after and found it is rather well sealed with a rubber gasket - it appeared to be completely dry. Left it open for a day just in case, still works great! Kudos to Kia to have that kind of attention to detail, I figured my fob...

While get that cabin preconditioning is meant to save battery by using wall power to hear the car - why not allow it via the app unplugged? Sure seems nicer to enter a warm car than a cold one in subfreezing temps.

I'm going to try to go to Cle Elum this weekend which is over Snoqualmie Pass - about a 3000' elevation gain. I think I can make it given the downhill portion but curious if anyone's done it? Or for that matter anyone have an estimate of power usage in mountain scenarios?

Heads up the Uvo mobile app is now Uvo Eco, all new interface. Haven't noticed anything new feature-wise, but much nicer looking and better charger info (at least better display of it).

Anyone else notice their eco driving history is VERY consistent? It seems this can't be accurate if its per trip, the trips down the hill from my home are the same as the ones back up the hill.

So here's what I'm wondering - 200 mile Chevy Bolt for $37k, 200 mile Tesla Model 3 ~$35, a $34k 93 mile Kia Soul EV doesn't make much sense in the market does it? Short of a huge battery upgrade is the solution a big price drop for ~100mi EVs like the Leaf, Soul, and Ioniq?
