It works fine for me. I have an iPhone 6 (Verizon) running iOS8. I didn't have to do any special setup on the phone or the vehicle.

It's an option available from the dealer on either trim. On the configurator the option is called EC MIRROR W/COMPASS & HOMELINK. It has an MSRP of $350; but you should be able to negotiate for it at a lower cost or even "thrown in".
