Looks good. Change it on the other BMS tabs as well, please.

I tried finding this in the service manual but couldn't find the exact temperature. I'm reasonably certain that the LEAF's battery heater comes on at -20 degrees; it's probably similar for the Soul EV.

It's very possible that we got min & max swapped when we were guessing which datum was which in the messages.

There hasn't been a lot of work on Soul EV Spy, but I have also been working on a similar project which is making fairly good progress.

Hi! Thanks for joining. It would be great if you could add any information you find to our very comprehensive spreadsheet. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1YYlZ-IcTQlz-LzaYkHO-7a4SFM8QYs2BGNXiSU5_EwI/edit?usp=sharing We have all of the PIDs that you'll see when doing a blind ATMA like...

I finally went on a trip with my wife in her Soul EV so I could record some data while quick charging and such. In the process, I noticed that I do have a max cell degradation of 1% now. Minimum degradation is still 0%. I did add my latest 2101 and 2105 to the spreadsheet.

Sweet! That makes sense for the one value I recorded when I first started looking at this (18 deg C). I'll check it again one of these days to see if it's still looking good for us.

For comparison, I think with the LEAF you have to tell it to expect new sensors, then it will learn them. Maybe the dealer told it to expect new ones? The LEAF doesn't know which tire is which.

    Hmm, okay.

Don't use AT SH 771, use AT SH 769, if you want a response from the ECU at 771. For the 7A0 ECU, use AT SH 798.

    Soul Spy?

Yeah, I learned after I wrote that that you should -8 from the ECU you want a response from when using AT SH. You'll probably get better responses if you do that.

    Soul Spy?

If you want to listen for a response from 7A0, first use: atcra 7a0 Then type the command: 2f b0 00 02 And you should see the response. There's probably a way to send the command only to 7A0 (otherwise it'll go everywhere and possibly mess things up), but I haven't messed with that yet...

We just took a trip in ours as well (just 286 km, 3 DCQC sessions) but unfortunately I forgot my OBD-II adapter so I wasn't able to collect any data long the way. The DCQC at one Kia dealership we stopped at was not working (it was working a couple days ago when my wife used it), so we had to go...

Make we just have to do something to wake up the sensors, and writing the IDs to the ECU is a way to force that? Maybe if we just checked 2106 while driving we would get the info in this response.

I ran the BMC's 21 01 and 21 05 on my car and posted the data in the sheet again, because my wife took it on a trip to her mom's house and did a few DCQCs along the way. We're at 2300 mi (3701 km) on the odometer now and still no deterioration reported. I also did 21 00 on the VMCU and added...

Mine have the same issue. I just monitor one message ID at a time by using ATCRA hhh before ATMA. Depending on which messages you want to watch you could probably do a few at a time by creative use of ATCM hhh and ATCF hhh.

Thanks. I'll update the spreadsheet. In the case of the LEAF, the car only reports tire pressures while driving (specifically, in CAR_CAN message 385), so I wonder if this is a similar case, and will show up in one of the C_CAN messages? We'd be looking for four similar values, probably right...

On my LEAFs, going on a long trip ALWAYS improves the reported battery SOH and "Hx" measurements. We don't know whether it ACTUALLY increases the health of the battery or if it just gives the BMS a better idea of what the health actually is. So I'm not surprised at all to see that the min...

My favorite currently is that I said "editors" when I meant to say "errors". How ironic!

Yes, it would also be correct to say Cumulative Charge/Discharge Energy for the ones that currently say "Accumulative Charge/Discharge Power". By the way, looking through the service manual, there are a LOT of editors. Clearly they don't spent a lot of time in editing and localization.
