These have been recommended (?) elsewhere on these forums for the Soul EV: http://www.musclecarsandclassics.ca/lloyd-rubbertite-custom-fit-floor-mats
I haven't not yet purchased but plan to since there doesn't seem to be many viable options.
I will end up paying around $750 CDN. It's a 30ft run from the panel and I had a 60A breaker w an armored 6 AWG line run to future proof the line as well as a junction box put in the line part way so a little more than a basic install. 50% of that I'll get back form the gov't though so < $400...
I installed this charger (http://www.pluginnow.com/content/power-max%E2%84%A2-30a-25ft-cord) and it maxes out the charging capacity of the Soul EV as it outputs up to 7.2 kW.
re: the 70% capacity claim, it has nothing to do with range. Range is a factor of how you use the vehicle as much as it...
I had an electrician install my Bosch 30A charger but we ran 60A into the garage from the panel on the other side of the garage wall across maybe 30ft run on the garage ceiling. I think he used 6 AWG for that. I ran the 60A in case in the future I got another plug-in car and wanted a second...
I have used Nokian Hakkapeliitta R2 tires (or their previous incarnations) for > 10 years on two different cars and plan to buy them again for the Soul EV this winter. They are LRR so should perform ok. I'll buy alloy rims to put them on to reduce weight vs steelies for the winter too...
#1 - I listen to my iPhone over bluetooth all the time but the volume on BT is much lower than the radio so I have the volume cranked. Every time I start my car up, it takes time for the BT connection to be established so the media goes to Radio and blasts my ears until I crank down the volume...
Ugh. I already received mine (paid for the 30A 25ft cord upgraded one using the 16A rebate as a discount) and had it installed the other day.
If it's truly not eligible, my dealer is going to get an earful from me.
I picked up my 2016 Soul EV in late Aug and am still waiting for my green plates from the dealer (Kia on Hunt Club in Ottawa), though, based on my purchase experience there I don't expect them to actually process my green plates until I bug them about it for a few months.
At least they...
FYI. I ordered my Kia Soul EV+ from the Ottawa dealership (Kia on Hunt Club) in Dec 2014 and it still has not arrived. I ordered the blue w white top but has since been informed they may not be getting any of those but I can take the black/red one if I prefer when it arrives. After 7 months, I...
