True enough - and on the other hand, there are plenty of people getting higher than advertised ranges out of their LEAFs, Spark EVs etc because they know how to drive them and watch their regen etc. So, chances are the Soul EV will be able to break 100 miles without too much trouble!
I think the 100 mile plus has been changed to 100 mile plus on the NEDC test cycle, which means the US EPA test cycle will be less by a significant amount. On the NEDC isn't the LEAF even over 100 miles range?
Kia wants to be competitive, so I would expect pricing of the Soul EV to be at least near to the Nissan Leaf pricing, if not less than. I think Kia has said they will be very competitive in the segment?!
In Sweden, Kia has been testing some new technologies before they start production of the Soul Electric Vehicle that is set to go on sale later this year.

Kia has confirmed today the Soul EV will have CHAdeMO charging, and will quick-charge in under 25 minutes. A level 2 EVSE will take almost 5 hours to charge the 27 kWh battery pack.
