Thanks. I think I might just disable the feature. I use my iPhone, connected via bluetooth, for just about everything anyway, including Yelp, maps, turn-by-turn directions, podcasts, etc. Ray

Yes, but only slightly.

I found a workaround. I plugged a phone charger into the 12 volt charger to charge my phone, instead of the USB port. Now, I van stream both iPhone native apps and 3rd party apps over the car audio system.

Has anyone else run into this problem? I have an iPhone 6. When driving, I have it plugged in via the USB charging port. When I press the Media button, my apple music or podcast app work fine. But, if I want to listen to a non-native Apple app, such as Tune-in radio or my Amazon Prime music...

Many companies in the Bay Area offer free EV charging. I'm fortunate in that I can charge my Kia at work, so no need to spend money on buying/installing a charger at home. If needed, I can always plug the car in a 110v plug and get a partial charge over night.
