I find I have issues with the low-rise of the windshields - at 6', I bash my head on the door's frame / A-frame - especially when my back is acting up and I can't bend down low enough. That was one of the attractions of the Kia - the clean, high door entry ... even at the sacrifice of range at higher speeds due to poorer aerodynamics.
I've tried a 2014 volt - it was ok to drive (again, getting in was awkward), but in the end, I really want the EV range ... 50mi / 80km is better, but I already know you loose significant range in cold weather ... easily 20% - 30%, giving just 35-40mi / 55 - 65km ... I want at least 50% - 100% extra on the battery range over my known daily drive - so 120k - 160km minimum. Sure gas backup at 40mi/gal is also a nice emergency / safety - but you loose battery range including the gas engine ... and that gas backup also slows or stalls charger infrastructure rollout ... why bother installing chargers if everyone can still go to the gas station? Maybe that is good ... Maybe all these chargers are just a transition stage ... I don't know yet.
