Hi everyone on the Soul EV Forum!
I am from a very hot area of the country, and my first concern with an electric vehicle is how the battery can handle the extreme temperatures. As we all saw with the LEAF, there are issues with companies and new technology in extreme temperatures.
All along, Kia has said the Soul EV has battery pack thermal control:
"The pack incorporates state-of-the-art thermal control technology to maintain individual cells at optimum temperature"
However, I couldn't find anything in the Kia press releases that say it is liquid cooled, so it could be thermally controlled much like the Leaf pack is thermally controlled by minimizing charge rates and discharge amounts etc.
Does anyone on the forum know? Thanks in advance.
