Battery University a good resource for battery info

I came across some interesting articles and research on the website below, covering a wide range of topics from battery use in EVs, to battery charging, temperature and depth of discharge usage characteristics: http://batteryuniversity.com/learn/article/electric_vehicle_ev...

    L3 Charging rates

While charging at a L3 charger this evening, I paid much closer attention to how long it took to charge, my start and end charge %, and computed the charging rate. It took 40 minutes to charge from 12% to 84%, so 72% of the battery capacity of 27 kWh, or 19.44kWh, and a charge rate of ~29 kW/h...

Could the battery pack be replaced with a future generation?

An interesting statement was made in another thread: I've been wonder if it might be possible for a future version of the batteries to replace the current set, and what the implications might be. Some of the points I've though up include: * Increased charge time due to higher capacity *...

More Soul EVs coming in to Canada in Feb/Mar

I heard back from my salesman this afternoon ... I can expect to receive my Onyx/Red EV + at the end of Feb or first week of March ... they must be on the ship heading here! I don't know how many are coming or any other details, but it sounds like there will be a few more in Canada soon!

Canadian Federal A/C tax and the EV+ w/Heat Pump

I don't know if anyone else has thought to ask, but I was wondering if / why the Canadian Federal Air Conditioner tax should be applicable to a vehicle equipped with a Heat Pump ... it would seem it is more a heating device then a cooling device, and as such would be exempt.
