Is you tailgate hard to completely close?

I find myself getting the tailgate open light about half the time. Anyone else have this problem? Is my door defective? Does your muscle memory get better with time? Lol.

I have had mine since the end of Oct.

It has always opened and closed without any issues. Exactly as I would expect.

I find my Soul's tailgate to be very light and easy to close. On the other hand, our Kia Sorento's liftgate is quite heavy and has a tendency to rebound open slightly when closed with too much force.

It closes easy, just doesn't complete the switch circuit unless I kind of slam it. Maybe I'll get it checked out. Thanks.

Yes, get it checked out. There's normally adjustable bump stops that hold the gate against the latch. Sounds like yours are a little too far out. I haven't looked for the ones on the tail gate, the ones on the hood are big and rich up front.
