Kia Soul EV next to strange SlashGear vehicle

SlashGear did a review of the 2015 Kia Soul EV, took it for a drive, and was pretty happy with it.

What I want to know, though, is what's with the vehicle beside it in this picture? Anyone know details about this ratrod car?

It's certainly a well-used '57 Chevy. Here's one in better shape:

That thing is custom painted to look well used...It's a work of art!

That is a nice vehicle, although I'd still take the Soul EV
